Ross Anderson is a FIS World Cup/Professional alpine Skier as well as Native American speed skier. He broke the former American Indian Record in 1997 with a speed of 137.86 mph flying by the former American Indian Record Holder held by Stew Young from the Tulalip tribe with a speed of 131.73 mph at VARS France 1997."〔 On April 19, 2006 he set a new page in recorded history by being the fastest alpine skier from the Western Hemisphere, at 154.06 mph (247.93 km/h); this places him 10th in the world all-Time Rankings.〔http://www.speedski-info.com/index_E.php〕 Anderson's heritage includes Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes, Mescalero Apache, and Choctaw origin.
